The Commission on Presidential Debates has said that it will consider making changes to the upcoming presidential debates between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.
"The Commission on Presidential Debates sponsors televised debates for the benefit of the American electorate. Last night's debate made clear that additional structure should be added to the format of the remaining debates to ensure a more orderly discussion of the issues," the commission stated.
"The CPD will be carefully considering the changes that it will adopt and will announce those measures shortly. The Commission is grateful to Chris Wallace for the professionalism and skill he brought to last night's debate and intends to ensure that additional tools to maintain order are in place for the remaining debates."

The organization made these statements not long after Tuesday night's debate in Cleveland, Ohio. While many were thrown off by President Donald Trump's refusal to condemn white supremacists, others were taken aback by the amount of chaos and crosstalk that overwhelmed the debate stage.
“That was a hot mess inside a dumpster fire inside a train wreck,” CNN's Jake Tapper said.
"That was a [expletive]. We’re on cable. We can say it. Apologies for being crude. But that is really the phrase I’m getting from people on both sides of the aisle on text and the only phrase I can think of to describe it," Tapper's colleague, Dana Bash, added.
Following the debate, there were calls for Biden not take to take part in the next debate. Writers at multiple outlets went as far as to ask that the next two presidential debates be cancelled. In spite of the calls to cancel future verbal sparring sessions, the former Vice President is committed to the next two debates in Nashville and Miami. However, he does agree that changes need to be made.
"I just hope there's a way in which the debate commission can control the ability of us to answer the question without interruption," Biden said.
The next president debate is set to take place on October 15 in Miami, Florida.
