Armed Man Arrested After Being Banned From North Carolina Voting Site

An armed man, who was allegedly banned from a North Carolina polling site, was arrested at the location for returning, according to WCSC. The incident happened around 10:34 a.m. on Election Day (November 3) at Precinct 212 on Doug Mayes Place in Charlotte.

Authorities said 36-year-old Justin Dunn was loitering "in the PVA of the voting site" after casting his vote. He was also legally carrying an unconcealed firearm, police added.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police (CMPD) quickly responded to the scene after getting a call about Dunn possibly intimidating voters. An official presiding over the precinct asked Dunn to leave the premises in front of officers. The 36-year-old left without further issues, and the precinct official banned him.

Police got another call at 12:40 p.m. about Dunn returning to the property. Officers came back to the precinct and arrested him. Dunn was charged with second-degree trespassing.
