Trump Supporters Bombard Polling Sites To Protest The Counting Of Votes

Supporters of President Donald Trump have appeared at a polling site in Michigan where votes are still being counted. Video of the incident shows a crowd of "Stop The Count" demonstrators gathering in the lobby of TCF Hall as election officials attempt to disperse the group.

"Let's see what you have to say for yourself," one demonstrator yelled.

Reporters at the scene described the mood as "tense." Security guards have began gathering at the front door of the Detroit polling site as protesters try to push their way inside. These events have began to unfold just an hour after the Trump campaign indicated that they would file lawsuit against both Pennsylvania and Michigan. Members of the campaign have reportedly raised concerns regarding the ballot counting process in several states.

"We have filed suit today in the Michigan Court of Claims to halt counting until meaningful access has been granted," Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien said.

"We also demand to review those ballots which were opened and counted while we did not have meaningful access. President Trump is committed to ensuring that all legal votes are counted in Michigan and everywhere else."

This announcement came less than an hour after Stepien announced that the President would seek a recount in Wisconsin. During the last 12 hours, Biden has emerged as the leader in both states due to a large number of mail-in ballots being officially counted. However, Trump has suggested that poll workers are trying to "steal" the election by counting mail-in ballots despite the reality that it is their job to do so.

“There have been reports of irregularities in several Wisconsin counties which raise serious doubts about the validity of the results. The President is well within the threshold to request a recount and we will immediately do so,” Stepien said.

Despite Trump's push back, projections have declared former Vice President Joe Biden in the state of Michigan.
