Michael Ealy & Hilary Swank's New Film 'Fatale' Is A Cautionary Tale

Fatale is the cautionary tale of when cheating has fatal consequences.

The Deon Taylor-directed film, which stars Hilary Swank, Michael Ealy, Mike Colter, Danny Pino, and Tyrin Turner, follows married, sports agent Derrick (played by Ealy) after he has a wild one-night stand during a guys' trip to Las Vegas.

"He watches his perfect life slowly disappear when he discovers that the sexy and mysterious woman he risked everything for, is a determined police detective (played by Swank) who entangles him in her latest investigation," says the film's synopsis. "As he tries desperately to put the pieces together, he falls deeper into her trap, risking his family, his career, and even his life."

The suspenseful and provocative psychological thriller is an "unpredictable game of cat and mouse where one mistake can change your life."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the film's director said Fatale is something "we really haven't seen [...] it's a twist on a twist of classic thrillers. [...] This goes much deeper and much darker."

"Dude goes to Vegas and Vegas comes home with him," he told EW with a laugh. "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but what if it doesn’t? That's the movie: he meets this woman and ultimately she's going to come to his house, and we start there."

Fatale hit theaters on December 18th and is available on-demand on January 8th.
