Kelly Price is not missing, according to her attorney, Monica Ewing.
In a statement to TMZ, the gospel singer's lawyer told the outlet her client is safe and "continuing to recover from COVID-19 at an undisclosed location," the outlet reported.
Price's rep also reportedly reached out to Cobb County police to notify law enforcement that Price is not missing despite being listed as missing with the National Crime Information Center.
On Friday afternoon (September 24), TMZ reported that Price's family reported her as missing after she was discharged from the hospital following her COVID-19 diagnosis. After conducting a wellness check at her home last Saturday (September 19), Georgia officials listed the singer as a missing person.
In July, Price revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19. She was admitted to the hospital shortly after. According to her family, Price was transferred to the hospital's ICU after her condition worsened.
While she was hospitalized, Price remained in contact with her family and children. However, three weeks after she was admitted, Price's children received a call that she had been discharged, which reportedly surprised them because she was still ill the last they spoke to her.
Price's family told TMZ they had not spoken with her since she was discharged from the hospital. They told law enforcement that her boyfriend had been keeping her loved ones away from visiting the singer's home, prompting a relative to contact authorities to conduct a wellness check.
