MMA legend Jon Jones has been "temporarily suspended" by the Jackson Wink Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Despite his temporary suspension, Jones' longtime coaches, Greg Jackson and Brandon Gibson, will continue to work with him at a different gym.

"Jon Jones has been temporarily suspended from training with the Jackson Wink Academy team," Jackson Wink Academy spokesman James Hallinan told ESPN.

"Coach Jackson and Coach Gibson will continue to train with Jon offsite as long as he keeps his commitment to a healthy and positive lifestyle."

The UFC star's suspension comes three weeks after he was accused of abusing a woman at the Caesars Palace hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to a report from ESPN, the woman told police that "Jones grabbed the back of her hair to prevent her from leaving the hotel room." The woman also appeared to have a busted lip, a bruised cheek and blood on her clothes. Not to mention, Jones is accused of his head onto the head of a cop car after police officers arrived.

"I said, 'Jon, here's the deal, man. You're like my little brother. You have to stop drinking and fix these things for a certain period of time until you come back to the gym,'" Jackson Wink Academy coach Mike Winkeljohn explained.

"So, at the moment, he's out of the gym. He's not allowed to come in the gym, because I feel I had to do that. Ignoring it and expecting different results, as they say, is insanity"

Despite reports of physical harm against a woman, Jones has not been suspended by the UFC. UFC President Dana White has said that the organization will wait to see how the matter plays out legally.

Jones is expected to appear in court on October 26.
