Basketball is back and it has returned with a bang. Just days after the Chicago Sky won their first WNBA title in franchise history, the reigning NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks returned to start their regular season campaign with a win against the Brooklyn Nets. Also, Stephen Curry put a triple-double to help the Warriors beat the Lakers by seven points. With that said, the biggest storylines didn't have to do with on-the-court action. Instead, the biggest story in the NBA community last night had to do with the media, coaches, former players and lovers of the game.

Celebrating its 75th season, the NBA has enlisted a number of basketball aficionados to create a list of the top 75 players in league history. On Wednesday, the league unveiled the first 25 players on the highly-publicized list. Early entries include NBA legends like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Charles Barkley and Julius Erving. Also, active players like Brooklyn Nets Guard James Harden and Milwaukee Bucks Forward Giannis Antetokounmpo were included on the list. To much surprise, #NBATwitter was fairly satisfied with the list.

Preparing for day two of the 2021-2022 regular season, the NBA returned with the second batch of selections for the league's list. This time around, NBA legends like Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson and Wes Unseld were chosen. Not to mention, Brooklyn Nets Forward Kevin Durant and Phoenix Suns Guard Chris Paul were included on the list.

The final group of 25 players will be added to the list on Thursday. LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant will likely be added to the list, but accomplished players like Jason Kidd, Tracy McGrady and Ray Allen will wait to see if they made the cut.
