Lizzo Finally Reveals Her 'Biggest' Business Venture Yet

Earlier this month, Lizzo teased online that she would be releasing the "biggest thing yet," and that it would be "bigger than anything I've ever done." Well, the wait is over. In an interview with The New York Times, the singer revealed that is releasing a shapewear line and that it is sure to shake up the industry.

Her shapewear line, Yitty –– her childhood nickname –– will launch this week under Kate Hudson's Fabletics "active life wear brand." The first drop will include 100 pieces divided into three different collections: Nearly Naked, Mesh Me, and Major Label.

Lizzo has been a fierce supporter of self-love, evidenced by her lyricism in songs like "Truth Hurts" and "Juice." As such, she says that the goal of Yitty isn't to change people's bodies, but to change the nature of shapewear itself.

The three collections will work together to "give everyone the opportunity speak for themselves when it comes to how their body should look and how they feel in their body," Lizzo explained to The Times.

"I'm selling a mentality that 'I can do what I want with my body, wear what I want and feel good doing it," she said. "That whatever body you are showing off, it's not, 'Oh, how brave,'" she added. "No. No more of that. Nothing to see here but a body, just like your body."

"This is a dream 5 years in the making," Lizzo wrote on Instagram, showing off a new booty tattoo. "Introducing @YITTY: Shapewear you can wear Underwear, Overwear, Anywhere. For Every Damn Body. 6X to Xs. Are you ready for the YITTY LIBERATION? Coming soon."

Lizzo has been busy at work, releasing her TV show Watch Out For The Big Grrrls last week on Amazon Prime that documents the journey to selecting her tour dancers.

Now, she's carrying out her vision for "bodywear" for the masses. Learn more about her new line by clicking HERE.
