Chicago Bears wide receiver Byron Pringle was arrested in Florida on Saturday (April 23) after being pulled over by Florida Highway Patrol in Pasco County.
Police said Pringle was doing donuts in his 2016 Challenger SRT Hellcat around 6 p.m. while a child was in the car. The 28-year-old NFL player was seen burning rubber, spinning his vehicle in circles on a public road, according to an incident report obtained by TMZ. Pringle was driving with two other passengers –– an adult male in the front seat and a male child in the back seat, the report said.
When officers ran Pringle's license, it came back suspended. The professional athlete was arrested and taken into custody around 6:15 p.m. for reckless driving and the suspended license. His car –– which reaches 200 mph –– was reportedly towed to a local yard.
Pringle attended Kansas State University before signing with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016 and went on to the 2019 Super Bowl. In March 2022, Pringle signed a $6 million contract –– $4 million guaranteed –– with the Chicago Bears.
