Dwayne Haskins’ wife Kalabrya just posted a beautiful tribute to Dwayne on what would’ve been his 25th birthday.
She shared the emotional message on her Instagram page, which shows numerous photos and videos before he tragically passed away on Apr. 9.
“King Wayne, God decided Simba needed a halo, instead of a crown for his mane,” Kalabrya wrote. “Life without you here brings so much pain. But today we celebrate your 25th reign. Your light was so bright, words can’t begin to explain how proud I am of the man you became.”
The Washington Commanders also paid tribute to the late Haskins. The team shared a picture during the 2022 draft wherein the attendees offered a moment of silence for Haskins. The caption reads, “Today would have been his 25th birthday. Rest easy, Dwayne.”
Dwayne Haskins died last month after he was struck by a dump truck while he was walking on a South Florida highway. Haskins was 24 years old. Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson Lt. Indiana Miranda said Haskins was pronounced dead at the scene.
