A white woman was arrested by cops after she pulled a gun on a group of Black women and sent shoppers running inside a Pennsylvania mall.

The incident happened on August 25 at a shopping center in King of Prussia community, which is 16 miles away from Philadelphia, according to the Upper Merion Township Police Department. While police didn't identify the women by race, Twitter user Corey Cohen posted a photo of the suspect in handcuffs, who appears to be a white woman, and claims she pointed a gun at three Black women at the mall's food court.

Officers confirmed that the white woman pulled a gun from her purse, claiming she felt threatened by them during an argument with two of the women. No shots were fired, and the woman put her gun back in her purse, according to cops. Cohen says the food court "emptied out" when customers spotted the gun, and authorities corroborated this.

As the white woman went to go pay for her food, the Black women reportedly got into another dispute with the woman. The suspect didn't display the gun at that time.

An Upper Merion Township police officer patrolling the mall rushed over to the scene, and the woman was handcuffed and taken into custody. Her firearm was also secured, officials added. Nobody was hurt in the incident.

Police also say the white woman won't face charges.

“Based on the investigation and after conferring with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, no charges are being filed at this time as a result of this incident,” the police’s statement reads, adding that the suspect possessed the gun legally and had a concealed carry permit.

Upper Merion Township Police isn’t releasing the names of those involved since no charges were filed. An investigation is ongoing.
