An attorney for Jonathan Majors is speaking out after a new report detailed more allegations of abuse against the Creed lll star.
According to Variety, additional alleged victims have come forward to the Manhattan district attorney's office following Majors' arrest in March over an alleged domestic dispute.
Priya Chaudry, Majors' attorney, denied the additional abuse allegations that surfaced Wednesday (April 19).
“Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone,” Chaudhry told CNN. “We have provided irrefutable evidence to the district attorney that the charges are false. We are confident that he will be fully exonerated.”
Majors was accused last month of striking a woman "about the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear,” according to a complaint. The March complaint states he also “put his hand on her neck, causing bruising and substantial pain.”
“Mr. Majors completely denies assaulting the woman,” Chaudhry told CNN last month. “Around 11 a.m. on March 25, 2023, Jonathan Majors called 911 out of concern for the woman’s mental health. The police arrived with the paramedics, as is standard procedure, and arrested Mr. Majors due to an NYPD protocol requiring arrest in certain circumstances.”
In late March, Majors was arrested and arraigned on assault and harassment charges over the incident. Following the arraignment, he was released on his own recognizance and granted a limited order of protection, per the DA's office.
According to text messages provided by Majors' attorney, the alleged abuse victim wrote that investigators “do not have my blessing on any charges being placed.”
