A Black college graduate is going viral after she snatched a microphone from a white administrator who allegedly cut her off while she was speaking at a commencement ceremony.

In a TikTok video that's gone viral, Kadia Iman appeared to wrestle the microphone out of the administrator's hand while other graduates waited in line to be recognized, per Daily Mail.

"I want the mic," Iman said in the viral video as she grabbed the microphone. "You didn't let me get my moment."

In a follow-up TikTok video, Iman claimed that nearly every student was given the opportunity to use the microphone to say their full name, major, and a few things about themselves. However, whenever Iman and other Black students were given the chance to speak, the administrator was allegedly "pulling the mic down super fast."

"I don't like how you snatched the mic out of my hand and today is going to be all about me," she told the administrator in the initial TikTok before throwing the microphone on the ground and walking away.

The college graduate said she worked hard to earn her degree and needed to "reclaim my moment."

One social media user who claimed to be a college graduate at Iman's school said the girl's allegations were false. Students of all races were given the microphone to say their names and some took the opportunity upon themselves to talk more than the administrators initially directed them to, the social media user said.

Despite mixed reactions over her viral TikTok, Iman took to Instagram, saying she's not "embarrassed" by her actions and the internet won't "gaslight me into thinking I'm the bad guy."
