Federal officials have arrested a white Trump supporter accused of racially terrorizing Black and Hispanic people in his North Carolina town.
On Thursday (June 22), Marian Hudack was arrested by the FBI on charges of interfering with federally protected activities and the right to fair housing, according to the criminal complaint filed by the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, per the Daily Beast.
There is "probable cause" that Hudak committed racial intimidation, federal officials said.
In one instance, Hudak allegedly attempted to run a Black driver and his girlfriend off the road in his pickup truck, which was filled with Confederate flag paraphernalia and Trump stickers, according to the complaint. Federal officials said Hudak shouted the n-word at the driver as he chased him on the road. Hudak then allegedly followed the man to his apartment and threatened “I will kill you, n****."
In November 2021, Hudak egged his Mexican American neighbor's car, telling the family to "go back" to their country and calling them “f*cking Mexican alcoholics,” according to the criminal complaint. The complaint also states that Hudak called his neighbor’s mother “a f*cking fat a** Mexican b*tch” as she was taking out the garbage.
“I promise you this is never going to end,” Hudak allegedly told the woman.
Lisa Costner, Hudak's public defender, declined to comment on his arrest and charges, per the Daily Beast.
