The man who said he was having a bad day when he flung himself over a bench to attack a Las Vegas judge is back in court.

Deobra Redden first made headlines last week when he brazenly attacked Judge Mary Kay Holthus in Clark County District Court during his sentencing for attempted battery. Following the attack, Redden was put in isolation and classified as a 2C inmate, the most restrictive classification for inmates at Clark County Jail. Video of Redden leaping across the bench at Holthus went viral.

According to a police report, Redden told officers that he was having a bad day and was attempting to kill the judge, per NBC News.

On Monday (January 8), Redden wore a face mask and covers over his hands and was accompanied by guards as he appeared back in court in front of the same judge he attempted to kill, TMZ reported.

Judge Holthus didn't mention the prior attack as she sentenced Redden to 19-48 months in prison for his attempted battery conviction. Redden is now facing 13 charges in connection to the attack on the judge. He is due back in court on Tuesday (January 9).
