A popular YouTuber was found dead in his California home this week, according to TMZ. Twomad, an internet personality with millions of subscribers on the platform, has died at 23.
Los Angeles police told reporters they responded to his home Tuesday night (February 13) after someone requested a welfare check. Reports claim Twomad, born Muudea Sedik, missed appointments and loved ones haven't heard from him in several days. Officers discovered the livestreamer unresponsive in the home but it's unclear how long he's been dead.
Authorities said they found drug paraphernalia inside the residence and are investigating his death as a possible overdose. No foul play is suspected. No more details have been released as of Wednesday afternoon (February 14).
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed his death via online records.
Twomad started his online career making video game meme videos and outlandish content before exploding in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic. National press covered the content creator when he went viral for crashing college Zoom classes and other video conference calls.
He was also beloved for popularizing certain memes and creating his own, such as the "Goodnight Girl, I'll See You Tomorrow" clip.
Before his death, the YouTuber found himself in controversy over allegations of sexual assault and stalking in June 2023. TMZ reported many online fans and onlookers were concerned about his escalating online behavior, such as uploading images of various firearms, in the months following the accusations.
