Beyoncé is giving back to cosmetology schools and salons across the nation.

On Tuesday (February 20), Bey launched her haircare brand Cécred. Her charity, BeyGOOD, announced a partnership with the brand for a Cécred x BeyGOOD fund to support cosmetology school students and local businesses, per People.

The fund is set to dole out $500,000 annually to support cosmetology school scholarships and salon business grants in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and New Jersey, according to an announcement. Cécred x BeyGOOD “celebrates the influence professional stylists have on hair health and the critical importance of advocating for the salon community,” as the funds aid in “fostering talent, promoting professionalism, and supporting entrepreneurship within the hair industry."

“Hairstylists have an immense impact on the people in their chairs. They create a sacred space where we can show up how we want and express ourselves through our hair. We’re honored to give back to this amazing community,” a statement reads.

The cosmetology schools chosen to receive the fund, which include Beaver Beauty Academy in Atlanta, Trenz Beauty Academy in Chicago, Universal College of Beauty in Los Angeles, Franklin Institute in Houston, and Janas Cosmetology Academy, have “inclusive curriculums” and will be awarded $250,000 for financial aid student scholarships. The remaining $250,000 will go toward “qualifying salon business owners” in the five major cities, “so they can continue their transformative impact in the community."
