JD Vance deflected questions about former President Donald Trump's latest scandal at a national military cemetery by saying Vice President Kamala Harris "can go to hell," per CBS News.

On Monday (August 26), Trump visited the Arlington National Cemetery to commemorate three years since the deadly attack on U.S. soldiers that occurred amid the nation's withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Trump's team reportedly attempted to take photos and video in a restricted area of the cemetery known as Section 60, where “service members killed in action in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom” are buried. When an official tried to stop Trump staffers from staging a campaign promotion in Section 60, the worker was allegedly shoved aside.

Days after the incident, a reporter asked Vance to comment on the campaign's cemetery scandal. Vance declined to address the controversy and instead blasted the Biden-Harris administration's handling of the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan.

"Three years ago, 13 brave, innocent Americans died, and they died because Kamala Harris refused to do her job, and there hasn't been a single investigation or a single firing," Vance, Trump's running mate, said.

"Kamala Harris is so asleep at the wheel that she won't even do an investigation into what happened, and she wants to yell at Donald Trump because he showed up," he continued, noting that the Democratic nominee was "disgraceful."

"She can go to hell," Vance added.

Vance doubled down on his attack against Harris while in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

"Sometimes I get frustrated and pissed off," he said, adding that the Harris campaign was "trying to make a massive political issue" out of the incident at Arlington National Cemetery.
