A Florida mom has been arrested after she allegedly drowned her 14-year-old daughter over a dispute about the teen's diabetes medication.

Giselle Glover, 14, was found unresponsive by police on November 20 after officers responded to a report of an armed disturbance at a home in Kissimmee, Fla., on Wed., Nov. 20.

The caller told 911 dispatchers that the victim's mother, Kelsey Michelle Glover, had attacked her with knives and a hammer as she tried to intervene in the drowning.

Following the drowning, Giselle was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

According to court filings, the drowning occurred after Kelsey decided to stop administering insulin to her daughter, who had diabetes. The decision allegedly led to an argument between Kelsey and her roommate. As Giselle became ill without insulin, the roommate said Kelsey trapped the child in a bedroom and played loud music to overpower her cries.

On the day of the incident, Kelsey allegedly “put her daughter in the bathtub and grabbed her by the hair and held her head underwater."

Kelsey is facing charges of first-degree murder. A GoFundMe campaign was started in the wake of Giselle's death.
