Cardi B, John Legend, Frank Ocean, Kerry Washington, and LeBron James are among the many celebrities and athletes who took to social media on Tuesday night (September 29) to react to what is being called the most chaotic and messiest presidential debate in American history.
During the 90-minute debate, which was moderated by Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden faced-off on a number of topics, including healthcare, the coronavirus pandemic, climate change, racial injustice, and more. However, it was Trump's constant interruptions — he repeatedly interrupted and spoke over both Biden and Wallace, who struggled to maintain order throughout the debate — and his refusal to denounce white supremacists — at one point he told the known extremist group, the Proud Boys, to "stand back" and "stand by" — that caused the Twittersphere to explode with quite a lot of opinions.
