While Congress is weighing the pros and cons of $600 and $1,200 checks, Megan Thee Stallion is supplying fans with a stimulus package of her own. In a surprise move, the Houston native tweeted that she would be distributing $1 million in bitcoin to her fans.
"I’m giving $1 million in bitcoin to as many hotties as I can! [I] will be giving out [one] million units until its gone, so drop your [tag] below with #BITCOINMEG to get a piece [of it]," she tweeted.
Megan Thee Stallion's one million bitcoin giveaway is the latest gift she's given her fans this holiday season. Last month, she delivered her debut album, Good News, with contributions from Big Sean, SZA, DaBaby and many other superstars. Shortly thereafter, she released her own clothing line with Fashion Nova. More recently, she linked up with comedian James Corden to deliver the new holiday song, "Savage Santa."
Heading into the new year, the bestselling artist is poised to have a major run. She is nominated for four Grammy Awards and will look to clean up at next year's iHeartRadio Music Awards after earning two nominations this year.
Beyond the music, Megan Thee Stallion has taken on the responsibility of building up the Houston community. This year, she has donated to the Park Manor nursing facility and Bread of Life's COVID-19 relief efforts.
“[Park Manor] was one of the first places I wanted to donate to in my city. I just feel like these are all things that are going to take me in the right direction to start opening my own facility,” she said.
“It’s in my hometown, so I felt like it was only right. I know a lot of people who are struggling with their grandparents. They can’t see their grandparents right now, so I teamed up with Amazon and we gave them these devices where you can video chat with your people.”
Everything is slowly coming together as 2021 promises to be huge for the Houston-born superstar.
