Vanessa Bryant honored her first Christmas without Kobe Bryant and their daughter Gianna.
The widow of the iconic NBA basketball player unveiled two family Christmas cards to celebrate the bittersweet holiday for the first time after losing her husband, 41, and their 13-year-old daughter to a tragic helicopter crash at the beginning of the year.
The first Christmas portrait features Vanessa with three of her and Kobe’s daughters — 17-year-old Natalia, 4-year-old Bianka and 1-year-old Capri — sitting beside her on a white couch. The next holiday card features the couple’s entire family including the departed Kobe and Gianna, who are all smiles in the heartwarming black-and-white photo.
“Always Together, Never Apart Together Forever In Our Hearts. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Kobe, Vanessa, Natalia, Gianna, Bianka and Capri,” Vanessa captioned the emotional tribute on Instagram.
As fans know, Kobe and Gianna had been traveling by air to a basketball game before the copter crashed in Calabasas, California, killing all nine passengers aboard.
In June, Vanessa honored Gianna on what would have been her graduation day. "Congratulations on your 8th grade graduation Gigi. I love you forever and always. I'm so proud of you,” she wrote at the time along with an image of her daughter’s diploma.
Later that same month, the matriarch shared a heartfelt tribute to her beloved husband on Father’s Day, writing, “Happy Father’s Day to the BEST daddy in the world. We miss you so much. We love you forever and always. Love, Nani, Gigi, BB, Kok and VB.”
