Kyrie Irving Purchases A Home For The George Floyd Family

Atlanta Hawks v Brooklyn Nets

An interview on Etan Thomas' podcast, former NBA player Stephen Jackson revealed that Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving just recently bought a home for George Floyd's family.

The former NBA player and George Floyd were very close growing up and Jackson during that time used his platform to raise awareness about Floyd's murder and vowed that he would help raise George Floyd's daughter. Jackson provided an update on how the family is doing:

She's getting so much love not just from us, but from people all around the world who are showing support," Jackson said. " I'm just continuing to do what I said I was going to do; I said I was going to be my brother's keeper and take of his daughter and make sure that her next days are her best days. A lot of friends have helped. Kyrie Irving bought them a house. Lil Wayne's manager bought them a Benz. I think God has definitely blessed her. I think she's doing the best she has ever done.

Irving of course has been away from the Brooklyn Nets for personal reasons & now has to sit out after a video of him circulated on the internet of him at a family birthday party.
