Altanta Falcons & United Retire No. 44 For 2021 In Honor Of Hank Aaron

The city of Atlanta lost a legend on Friday morning with the news that Hall of Fame baseball player Hank Aaron passed away at the age of 86. Aaron’s death has caused an outpouring of support from the many people he impacted during his life

“We are heartbroken and saddened by this morning’s passing of baseball legend, trailblazer and icon, Henry “Hank” Aaron,” writes Blank. “He not only made a great impact on the diamond, but in society as well with his caring and genuine spirit, always taking the time to be a friend to all.”

On top of that statement, the team announced today that no player on the Atlanta Falcons or Atlanta United will wear 2021 for the 2021 season. Read the statement sent out by the Falcons today below.

Aaron leaves behind six children and his wife, Billye. He will truly be missed by Major League Baseball, America and fans around the world.
