Drake Becomes First Artist To Debut Tracks At Nos. 1, 2 & 3 On Hot 100

Just ten days after the release of his latest EP Scary Hours 2, Drake has already made history.

On Monday (March 15), the Canadian rapper became the first artist to ever have three songs debut in the Top 3 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart simultaneously.

The three songs — "What's Next" at No.1, "Wants and Needs" (feat. Lil Baby) at No. 2, and "Lemon Pepper Freestyle" (feat. Rick Ross) at No. 3 — dropped on March 5 as part of Drake's three-track EP Scary Hours 2.

The 34-year-old rapper predicted he'd get that number one spot on the Hot 100, rapping on “What’s Next": “I’m on the hot one hundo, numero uno.”

According to Billboard, "What's Next" reached 49.1 million streams and 19,000 downloads sold in a single week, while "Wants and Needs" arrived with 41.5 million streams and 17,000 downloads sold. "Lemon Pepper Freestyle" rounded out the top 3 by bringing in 32.1 million streams and 15,000 downloads sold.

While this is the first time an artists' tracks have debuted in the top three at the same time, Drake joins The Beatles and Ariana Grande as the only artists to have three songs rank in the top 3 simultaneously.
