#BlackInTheaters: Five Movies And Shows You Need To See In June

May has proven to be a great month for films and television. Leading the way, Barry Jenkins rolled out his new series, Underground Railroad, on Amazon. Also, Netflix debuted The Upshaws starring Mike Epps. Not to mention, Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson are stars of Spiral: From The Book of Saw with a 21 Savage-led soundtrack attached to it.

The month of June has a lot to live up to, but the film and television industries are up for the challenge. This month, A24 will debut its newest film, Zola. The innovative piece chronicles the Zola Twitter thread that captivated an entire app for weeks on end. Adding on, Kevin Hart is set to step into a more dramatic role with Fatherhood. Other releases include F9, Tell The Truth and Lupin.
