Taraji P. Henson will lead this year's festivities live from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. Henson has a ton of experience working award shows. Over the course of a career, she's appeared at the Golde Globe Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards, Academy Awards and Critics Choice Awards. Just a few months ago, she appeared on stage at the 2020 American Music Awards as a present. Most notably, she appeared on stage with Regina Hall as she hosted the BET Awards in 2019. Two years ago, Hall did a phenomenal job of representing her hometown of Washington, D.C. by bringing Go-Go to Hollywood. Being that Henson is also from the Chocolate City, she may also try to do something similar. Tune in on Sunday night to find out.

This year, a few more stars will be added to the list of musicians that lent their talents to the BET Awards audience for just a few moments. Kicking things off, rising R&B artist Tone Stith will perform on the BET Amplified Stage. On the main stage, Andra Day, City Girls, DaBaby, DJ Khaled, H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan, Kirk Franklin, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Migos, Moneybagg Yo, Rapsody and Roddy Ricch are all scheduled to perform.
