A woman in Pennsylvania was arrested and put in jail last week after officers responded to a noise complaint at a pool. According to the Republican & Herald, neighbors said the woman was listening to the uncensored version of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s "WAP" too loud on a speaker.
Officers reportedly arrived at the Tamaqua Bungalow Pool Friday afternoon (July 23) and asked Stephanie Crute and her two daughters to leave but they refused. Crute is accused of pushing an officer whose back was turned to her and resisting arrest while other officers tried to handcuff her.
Crute’s 11-year-old daughter also got involved, going after the cop who was attempting to arrest her mother from behind. After Crute was restrained, police say she kicked an officer before being put in the back of a patrol car. One of the officers reportedly had to go to the hospital after sustaining an undisclosed injury at the pool.
Crute now faces multiple charges including felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault, resisting arrest, and summary harassment and disorderly conduct.
Court documents show Crute was unable to post 10% of her $25,000 bond at first but was released Monday (July 26). Her daughter was released into the custody of her father. A preliminary hearing over the incident is scheduled for August 3.
