Lizzo made an early morning FaceTime call to the feature artist on her forthcoming song “Rumors.”
In a video posted to Instagram on Monday (August 9), Lizzo gave fellow rapper Cardi B a wakeup call, teasing the reveal by changing Cardi’s name to “RUMORS’ Feat….”
Cardi answered the FaceTime with a smile, appearing to lay down, sporting a pink skully hat.
“GRAND RISING,” Lizzo wrote in the caption. “GUESS WHOS HOPPIN ON ‘RUMORS’ W/ME?!?”
After a cheery greeting, Lizzo jokingly confirmed the feature artist is Harry Styles to which Cardi laughs at and then questions why the “Good As Hell” singer is calling so early.
“Why you call me so early. It’s 9 o’clock in the morning,” Cardi replies as Lizzo laughs in the background.
Lizzo’s been teasing the new song since the beginning of the month, promising fans a new era of music.
The first song, "Rumors," is set to be released this Friday (August 13) and now we know we’ll also be getting a verse from Cardi who also just celebrated a year of her mega hit “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion.
Fans of both artists took to Twitter to express their excitement for the track.
