Kelly Price has spoken out after being reported missing amid a battle with COVID-19.

The gospel singer told TMZ she was never actually missing, despite the claims made by her family members who said they hadn't heard from her after she was released from the hospital.

Price told the outlet that she isolated herself after being discharged from the hospital to recover from COVID-19 and that she didn't keep in touch with family –– which isn't unusual, according to the singer.

Price also said her battle with COVID-19 was very serious and that at one point she flatlined while hospitalized.

"They lost me. I woke up some days later, couple days later and the first thing I remember is the team of doctors standing around me and asking me if I knew what year it was," Price said in a video interview.

When asked to clarify what she meant by "they lost me," the singer said: "I died," she said.

Before entering the hospital, Price said she battled the virus for a week before her condition worsened. Throughout the whole ordeal at home, Price says her husband was by her side, taking care of her and was the one who called the ambulance.

Eventually, the singer says she was discharged because "the hospital needed beds," and "I was able to go home with oxygen." A home health aid was brought in to continue treatment on the singer for a month and she still receives oxygen.

"I'm facing a very uphill battle," Price said, noting that she is experiencing long Covid symptoms. "I suffered a lot of internal damage."

"I have a lot of rehabbing to do before I am 'concert ready'" the singer said tearfully.

Price said that people –– fans and others –– were coming to her home ringing her bell and leaving things at her doorstep. She also said that she was "never missing" but that with both her and her husband battling Covid, "there was not visiting."

"My family knew exactly where I was," she said, adding that she was being seen by medical staff multiple times per week.

"I have never been in danger," Price said. "I am not in danger right now. I am focusing on putting myself first."
