Timothy George Simpkins has been arrested in connection to a shooting at Timberview High School that left at least four people in need of medical support. Police have not indicated what the teenager's exact motive was, but Assistant Arlington Police Chief Kevin Kolbye did indicate that he was involved in a fight shortly before shots were fired.

"This is not somebody attacking our schools," Kolbye told reporters during a press conference on Wednesday.

"This is a student, we believe right now, preliminary, that it was a student that got into a fight and drew a weapon."

At this time, it is unclear what type of gun the suspect used, how it was obtained it or how it got past the school's metal detectors. As officers search for answers, students have been escorted off campus and sent home for the day. Also, the four people injured during the shooting have been taken to the hospital for medical support. However, officers nor medical professionals have provided an update regarding the health of those injured.
