Simone Biles opened up about her mental health weeks after competing in the Tokyo Olympics, revealing that she still has some hold outs.

The 24-year-old history-making gymnast appeared on the Today Show on Thursday (October 21), revealing that she's "still scared to do gymnastics" and how she copes while touring the country with her teammates.

"I don't twist (on tour). I do double lay half-outs, which is my signature move on the floor. That's never affected me. But everything else weighs so heavy, and I watch the girls do it and it's not the same," she said during the emotional interview.

"But the twisting, once I got back, will come back. But I'm still scared to do gymnastics," she shared.

Biles pulled out of several events during the summer games after dealing with the "twisties" and unexpected loss of her aunt during competition.

Since she's returned, Biles and several other Team USA gymnastics champs have been on tour around the country, performing. Last month, she testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the FBI's handling of the sexual abuse she and others endured by former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar.

"For so many years to go through everything that I've gone through, put on a front, I'm proud of myself, and I'm happy that I can be a leader for the survivors and bring courage to everybody speaking up, so I'm happy to be a voice for them," Biles said on Today.

She also revealed she's working on a new mental health-focused project, working with the health and telemedicine app Cerebral as their new chief impact officer.

"Getting the mental health therapy that I need has been really relieving for me, especially being on the road and on tour. I'm happy to have such a great app to help out with that," she said.
