Trinity Rodman, daughter of NBA legend Dennis Rodman, has signed the largest contract in the history of the National Women's Soccer League.

According to reports, the 19-year-old forward inked the historic $1.1 million dollar contract this week after a standout rookie season. The California native signed on to the Washington Spirit in the four-year deal after being named Rookie of the Year, and US Soccer's Young Player of the Year Award.

Trinity –– who entered the League with no college soccer experience –– also helped win the league championship, and was invited to join the coveted national women's soccer team.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Rodman credited her "supportive team" for helping to make a decision to sign on for a longer contract.

"The biggest test was what we had gone through and knowing this team had my back through everything," Rodman said. "We got through it. We built a sisterhood. We're just going to keep building."

The Washington Post reported that when Rodman first signed on to the Spirit, the three-year deal provided a base salary of $42,000 plus housing and bonuses –– on par with what other players in the league receive.

After a collective bargaining agreement was reached this week, the base salary of an NWSL player was increased to $75,000.
