Brian Flores has a new job under the NFL.
The former Miami Dolphins head coach has joined the Pittsburgh Steelers as their senior defensive assistant and linebackers coach, according to a Saturday afternoon (February 19) tweet from the team's official Twitter account.
"I am excited about Brian Flores joining our coaching staff given his history of developing and teaching defensive players during his time in the NFL," Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin said in a statement. "Brian's resume speaks for itself, and I look forward to him adding his expertise to help our team."
This comes after the 40-year-old filed a bombshell class-action lawsuit alleging racial bias in the league's hiring practices. Flores spent three seasons with the Dolphins before he was fired last month, sending shockwaves through the league about how its lack of Black leadership in the upper echelons of one of America's favorite sports organizations.
