The father of New York Knicks player Mitchell Robinson III has been found safely, multiple news outlets reported Friday (February 25).
The athlete took to social media earlier this week to urge the public's help in finding his father, Mitchell Robinson, Jr. who'd last been seen on February 11. The 23-year-old Florida native reposted a local law enforcement agency's release about his father's disappearance, along with contact information anyone with information could share with authorities.
According to reports, the professional athlete's father was found safe in Missouri two weeks after going missing. TMZ reported that Robinson, Jr. was located after being pulled over for a traffic violation in Clayton early Tuesday morning (February 22). Missouri police then reported to Florida officials in Escambia County that Robinson, Jr. had been located and was reportedly not a danger to himself. He was let go with a warning for the traffic violation, the outlet said.
Robinson III retweeted the Pensacola News Journal's report about his father's safe return.
