President Joe Biden believes the "MAGA crowd" is the "most extreme political organization" in "recent American history," according to his remarks on Wednesday (May 4).
Biden's verbal attack on MAGA supporters follows the leak of the Supreme Court draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade and threaten landmark LGBTQIA+ cases.
On Wednesday, Biden said to reporters, "This is about a lot more than abortion. The idea that somehow there is no right of privacy ... What happens if you have a state that changes the law, saying that children who are LGBTQ can’t be in classrooms with other children.”
Biden continued, “Is that legit under the way the [Supreme Court] decision is written? What are the next things that are going to be attacked?
"Because this MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that’s existed in American history, in recent American history," Biden said.
This comes after Biden's comments about the GOP last month after audio revealed House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy lying about the Jan 6 attack on the Capitol.
"This ain’t your father’s Republican Party," Biden said in a statement.
“This is a MAGA party now. These guys are a different breed of cat." The president continued, "They’re not like who I served with so many years. And the people who know better are afraid to act correctly because they know they’ll be primaried.”
