Kevin Samuels has reportedly died at 57.
According to REVOLT Black News, the controversial YouTuber passed away on Thursday (May 5). The report came after news of Samuels' passing broke on Twitter.
His cause of death has yet to be announced.
The Atlanta native was a self-proclaimed "image consultant," "relationship guru," and life coach. Samuels also operated a successful image consultancy company for men to upgrade their appearance, and had over a million followers on Instagram.
Starting in 2016, the "image consultant" rose to notoriety through his Youtube channel where he's shared his controversial yet unapologetic takes on style, relationships, social issues, and Black women. Samuels was known especially for his misogynistic commentary about Black women, whom he targeted in numerous of his interviews and Youtube video.
In one of his recent videos, he attacked unmarried women, calling them “leftover" women.
“If you have made it to 35 and you are unmarried, you are a leftover woman,” Samuels said last month. “You are what is left. Men know that there is likely something wrong with you. Whether you want to hear it or not, I’m going to go there with you. I’m telling you the truth that you don’t want to hear."
He continued, "Men know that there is likely something wrong with you—that you can not be an adjustable six or higher—something is wrong with you. That’s where men automatically come with it. And here’s the thing—when you were between the ages of 22 and 25 and you didn’t want to settle—you were trying to get the CEO, the pilot, the investment banker, you were trying to get flewed out…”
