Steph Curry made NBA playoffs history while his team made a late-stage comeback against the Memphis Grizzlies.

On Monday (May 9), Steph Curry became the first player in the history of the NBA to score 500 career playoffs threes. The Golden State Warriors point guard put up 32 points and eight assists against the Memphis Grizzlies, pushing them to a late-stage comeback of 101-98.

The Warriors are now within one win of the Western Conference Finals.

Curry scored 18 points in the fourth quarter, tying the game at 90 with nearly three and a half minutes left on the clock. In the last minute of the game, Curry shot eight back-to-back free throws, putting the Warriors over the edge of victory.

"Nothing we figured out, it was just don't let the first three quarters influence the fact that we had a chance to win the game," Curry said during a post-game news conference. "Shoot the shots you think you can make, play aggressive, take care of the ball. We did all of those things."

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was not in attendance after testing positive for Covid-19 just two hours ahead of tipoff. Golden State's assistant coach Mike Brown, who previously led Golden State to an 11-0 record in 2017, took over Monday night (May 9).

"His head coaching record for a Warrior playoff game I think is undefeated," Warriors guard Klay Thompson said of Brown. "We did miss Steve a lot, just his voice, his presence, but we've been here before, 2017 when Mike took over and we rolled off a lot of wins, so I reflected on that a lot."

The two teams will face off for Game 5 on Wednesday night (May 11) in Memphis.
