Mike Tyson has broken his silence on the flight incident that went down aboard a JetBlue Airways plane last month. Video captured the moment the boxing champion punched the man seated behind him over and over again. Now, Tyson is speaking about it for the first time in his own words.

"He was f––king with me, man. I took pictures with this n––a," Tyson said on an episode of his podcast, Hotboxin. The 55-year-old said he knows that fans might become "overly excited" which is exactly why his wife, Lakiha Spicer, has told him not to fly commercial.

"I shouldn't even be taking public planes," Tyson admitted in the episode. "A bodyguard and a f––king yes man. What am I gonna do on a plane?"

Tyson won't face any criminal charges in the incident after the San Mateo County District Attorney announced they weren't moving forward with a criminal case. However, the man the boxer punched has lawyered up, so it's unclear if the situation is completely over and what civil legal action he might take.

This isn't the first "overly excited" fan incident Tyson has been involved in recent times. Back in March, Tyson attended a comedy show in Los Angeles where a guy in the crowd challenged the boxing champion to a fight before pulling a gun out. No one was hurt and Tyson hugged it out with the guy after he put away the weapon.
