Black Business Month is all about celebrating Black-owned businesses across the country. Founded in August 2004 by historian John William Templeton and engineer Frederick E. Jordan Sr. to “drive the policy agenda affecting the 2.6 million African-American businesses," the annual celebration allows us to shine a light on Black business owners and entrepreneurs while also recognizing the importance of Black-owned businesses contributions to the U.S. economy.
In honor of BBM, the Black Information Network has put together a list of 16 Black-owned businesses to support this month and beyond.
