James Earl Jones, the iconic voice behind Darth Vader, is seemingly hanging up his cape.

After decades of "Star Wars" projects, Jones, 91, will no longer record new lines for Darth Vader.

According to Vanity Fair, the 91-year-old actor's voice will live on through the use of AI technology that crafts new conversations from old voice recordings.

“He had mentioned he was looking into winding down this particular character,” sound editor Matthew Wood told the outlet. “So how do we move forward?”

Lucasfilms tapped Ukrainian startup Respeecher to recreate Jones' voice as it sounded in the original trilogy for Disney+ miniseries “Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

Jones signed off on the process and was involved in perfecting Darth Vader's voice for the series, according to Wood.

The company plans to continue to use the actor's voice for years to come through archival recordings and new dialogue created through the AI technology, Vanity Fair reports.

Jones last recorded a Darth Vader cameo in 2019 for “The Rise of Skywalker."

He first took on the role as the voice behind the film villain in the original "Star Wars," which was released in 1977.
