A white girl who mocked Black women and cultural appropriation was seemingly forced to cut off all of her hair after getting braids.
TikTok user Starla Soloway posted a video last month of her getting her hair braided. After receiving backlash from a number of Black social media users, Soloway posted a number of follow-up videos, continuing to show off her braids and mock those who were critical of her wearing the hairstyle as a white woman.
Soloway revealed a few weeks later that she had to cut all of her hair off after getting braids. She posted a video of her taking out her braids and chopping her hair off.
Black social media users hilariously reacted to Soloway having to cut her hair . Soloway's comment section filled with sarcasm as users banded together to give her "advice" on how to treat her hair next time she gets braids.
"Get boho micro braids next. Go to an African shop tho. it usually lasts longer," one social media user quipped.
"Use Dark and Lovely to the scalp first, after you scratch your head a lot to make sure there is no dandruff. Let it sit for an hour, and then braid," another user joked.
Other users called Soloway out for not heeding warnings that the hairstyle wasn't well suited for her hair texture.
"They told you!! Black women tried to warn you about what happens when you get styles that is not meant for YOUR HAIR TEXTURE," a TikTok user said.
