A video showing an altercation between a white store manager and a Black employee has gone viral on social media.
In the video posted on TikTok, a manager appears to confront an older Black woman over her work hours in front of store customers.
“You were scheduled to clock out. Clock out,” the manager told her employee in the video.
The manager went on to say that her boss reprimanded her because the employee was clocking extra hours.
“I haven’t cheated you on anything. You were scheduled [for] 29 and a half hours. Why won’t you clock in and out on your time? You got your hours,” the manager said.
The situation escalated as the two appeared to yell in each other's faces. The employee told the manager to get her fingers out of her face before her superior ordered her to "get out of the store."
“Woman, you don’t know who you messing with!” the employee said. “Don’t do this to me.”
“I’m not scared of you anymore,” the manager said in response.
Customers in the store told the women to calm down in an attempt to de-escalate the situation. The video ended with the manager appearing to walk away on her phone.
