A Texas woman who went viral for branding her plastic surgery procedure as a "Christian BBL" has revealed she has a post-op infection.

Content creator Sophia Idahosa previously shared that she got lipo 360 and a fat transfer to her hips in December 2023. After opening up about her plastic surgery, Idahosa said she was criticized by her Christian followers and Nigerian family members. She then began calling her procedure a "Christian BBL" as a response to the criticism.

Idahosa went viral and received even more backlash after associating her plastic surgery with Christianity.

“I’m not against plastic surgery whatsoever, but let’s be real, God did not tell you to get surgery,” one social media user said. “Leave religion out of it. You have the free will to be vain if that is what you want,” another stated.

In a recent YouTube video, Idahosa revealed that she experienced pain following her "Christian BBL."

“[A] dermatologist discovered an infection on my abdomen. Basically, causing me to be very sick, weak, and not healing as I should. She prescribed antibiotics and topical treatments for the scars & recommended I rest," Idahosa shared.

After being diagnosed with an abdominal infection, Idahosa said she had to postpone follow-up appointments with her surgeon and post-op massages.

The content creator revealed that the surgery complications came from her faja, a body-shaping garment that is meant to minimize swelling and assist with post-op recovery.

"As much pain as I’m in right now, you know, just disappointment that this is even happening, I’m happy that I have medicine now and things to help cure it,” Idahosa said.

Idahosa noted that she labeled her surgery the "Christian BBL" to attract Christians who were critical of her altering her appearance.

“That is how I got a Christian BBL. … I knew it would cause trouble … It was never my intention to make fun of God in any way. Never,” she said.

Idahosa added that she plans to address her healing journey and further questions in future videos.
