An Alabama woman says Lil Kim's signature duck and dodge moves helped save her from a drive-by shooting.

In a recent interview, Shariah Taylor revealed she used Lil Kim's moves from the 1999 hit "Quiet Storm (Remix)" to evade a shooting on Friday (April 26). Taylor said she heard seven shots ring out before making a snap decision that saved her and her daughter.

“So I’m dodging, I’m ducking, I’m dodging, I’m ducking, I’m dodging, doing my 'Lil Kim' ... I’m trying to get my baby in the car, then I threw my baby in the backseat and we just sped off," the mother said.

Lil Kim's moves went viral after her performance at the BET Awards in 2019. The artist initially performed the famous moves with Mobb Deep for "Quiet Storm."

Although she avoided the shooting, Taylor said she still fears her apartment complex isn't safe. A woman was reportedly shot in the area earlier this year while sleeping next to her children.
