Tyrese ended one of his shows early to allegedly avoid being served with lawsuit papers.
According to TMZ, Tyrese was in the middle of performing in Georgia when a security guard attendant approached him onstage, informing him that a process server had entered the venue.
The singer was performing "How You Gonna Act Like That" when he left the stage, walked up side steps, and made his way to the exit. Tyrese reportedly expressed his appreciation for the crowd who attended his show before his departure.
A source told TMZ the singer still had three songs left on his setlist.
News of Tyrese's mid-performance exit comes as he faces a defamation and libel lawsuit filed by Bryan Barber. Barber is suing Tyrese for $10 million on allegations that the singer attacked his "character and reputation" during an interview on "The Breakfast Club."
The director accused Tyrese of falsely stating that he kept footage from a recorded interview with Charlamagne tha God. Barber said Tyrese asked him to keep the footage to protect his reputation.
The director's lawsuit also alleges that "Gibson refused to adhere to the previous 50/50 revenue split that he and Barber previously negotiated for the CTG Interview."
