A Virginia woman who didn't know she was pregnant gave birth in a local Taco Bell restaurant.

According to WMAR 2 News, Breonni Jackson, an in-home nurse, went to the fast food chain in South Richmond, Virginia to pick up lunch for a patient on April 30 when she had the surprise delivery.

“My patient asked if I would run and get her something to eat. She wanted Taco Bell,” Jackson said.

Jackson said she experienced stomach cramps after placing her order. She went to the restroom multiple times before the pain was too unbearable for her to stand back up.

“I look down and that’s when I realized I was still bleeding,” Jackson recalled.

While on the phone with her husband, who works at VCU Medical Center, Jackson had the baby in the Taco Bell restroom.

The couple was completely shocked because neither knew Jackson was pregnant.

“I was like, OK, no, there’s no way,” Jackson said. “I picked her up, I wrapped her in my shirt; she hadn’t let out a cry or anything yet.”

“I realized the umbilical cord was still wrapped around her throat,” she continued. “I unwrapped the umbilical cord, and as I unwrapped the last one she took a deep breath and he heard her holler for the first time.”

Jackson was roughly 34.5 weeks pregnant when she gave birth to her daughter, Ayanna.

Doctors said she may have experienced a cryptic pregnancy, "a rare condition in which expectant mothers do not feel or notice any signs or symptoms until late in the pregnancy, or, like in this case, when they suddenly go into labor," WMAR 2 News reports.

Jackson and her husband welcomed Ayanna roughly a year after their nine-month-old son, Jy'Aire, was killed in a car crash. The couple said their faith was restored when their daughter was born.

“She’s definitely a dream come true,” Jackson said. “To lose one and truly gain another one is definitely the best gift that we could ever ask for.”
