Surveillance video shows a passenger assaulting a black airline worker in Brazil, per Daily Mail.
The incident between Luana Otoni and the airline worker reportedly unfolded after the passenger was told she couldn't board her Azul Brazilian flight at Belo Horizonte International Airport.
According to a police report, Otoni showed a gate agent her boarding pass before falling to the ground as she approached the plane.
An airline worker filed a report saying Otoni was showing signs that she was drunk. Otoni was then removed from the plane by an airline manager and was told she would have to take another flight due to civil aviation guidelines.
Otoni allegedly called the manager a "monkey, a bum, an idiot and a piece of s***."
Surveillance footage showed Otoni slapping, punching, and kicking a worker who attempted to restrain her.
During police questioning at the scene, Otoni claimed that she respected instructions and tripped as she was walking onto the plane.
Azul airline released a statement, condemning the incident.
"Azul emphasizes its strong condemnation of any form of offense or aggression towards its Customers and Crew members, and appropriate measures will be taken," the airline said.
