A suspect who went viral in 2015 for crying during a court hearing when the judge recognized him as a former classmate is back in jail, per NBC News.

Viral video from nearly a decade ago showed now-58-year-old Arthur Nathaniel Booth's run-in with Miami-Dade Judge Mindy Glazer, who turned out to be his former classmate in middle school.

Glazer said she recognized Booth, who had been accused of burglary, from their days at Nautilus Middle School.

"I’m sorry to see you there. I always wondered what happened to you, sir," Glazer said during the court hearing.

Booth started crying as Glazer offered him words of encouragement.

"This was the nicest kid in middle school. He was the best kid in middle school," the judge continued. "I used to play football with him, all the kids, and look what has happened."

"Mr. Booth, I hope you are able to change your ways. Good luck to you," she added. "What’s sad is how old we’ve become. Good luck to you, sir. I hope you are able to come out of this OK and just lead a lawful life."

After the viral encounter, Booth landed himself back in jail last week. He is facing several charges, including robbery, burglary, home invasion, and robbery without a firearm or weapon, in connection to a string of crimes that occurred in August.

Police said Booth knocked on one victim's door, posing as a water inspector.

"Once inside the home, he went around the house, found a jewelry box, stole jewelry from the victim, and fled in an unknown direction," police spokesman Freddie Cruz said.

In another incident, Booth allegedly posed as a plumber, stealing an 85-year-old man's chain before fleeing the scene.

"Once inside the home he actually snatched the chain of the victim and fled," Cruz said.

Booth was also accused of asking another woman for directions before conducting another chain snatch.

"An individual like this needs to be behind bars," Cruz said, noting that Booth could be connected to more incidents.
