Darlene Meekins On Building Black Wealth & Overcoming Homeownership Hurdles

Darlene Meekins, Region 3 Vice President of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, spoke with Black Information Network’s Vanessa Tyler about the importance of building Black intergenerational wealth and the challenges of home ownership.

The National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) is a trade organization created by Black American real estate professionals as an alternative space for Black Americans who were racially excluded from the National Association of Realtors. NAREB members, known as "realtists" (rather than realtors), include professionals from all disciplines within the real estate industry, such as residential and commercial agents and brokers, loan officers, mortgage brokers, title companies, appraisers, insurance agents, and developers.
